        <![CDATA[ Hello Everyone!


Being a non-racer this year allows me (too) much free time to browse the various forums, including the USA! It seems, from what I can tell, that they might be
in danger of losing their National status as a class within the SCCA. Now, there&#39;s many ideas being promulgated (big word, eh!) on the way to fix this, but
one less obvious thought occurs....... Why not invite the serious racers over t&#39;other side of the pond to ship their cars to the UK, and come and race with... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ That sounds promising.  One of our problems is that there are so many self-established sanctioning bodies that have their own licensing systems and tech
requirements that it creates a myriad of requirements and possibilities.  It would be a wonderful thing, and a tremendous challenge, if we could get all groups
to agree on licensing, tech and even race control procedures and requirements.  It would make things so much easier.  Unfortunately, we are dealing with egos
and empires. ]]></description>

Licenses are simply cards with the sanctioning body logo and a statement of the type of license - regional, national, vintage, super-license.  Not much to tell
from them.  The best thing would be to get the licensing requirements from each sanctioning body.  Most requirements are recency of experience.  All require a
variation of observation before issuing but all have their own requirements.  It&#39;s an automatic issuance of an FIA Class C license with an SCCA National... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ If you want to have some &#39;international fun&#39; why not look at the &#39;Spa Summer Classic&#39; they have an S2000 class in the 250 mile race. Clearly a
2 driver event but I deff want to do it next year, would have done it this save for not having time to get enough sigs in the licence.

			<description><![CDATA[ Aha! First hurdle. Easily dealt with. Stick one on a rolling road and compare the output against a UK car. If there&#39;s a significant difference, work out a
ballast solution. Mind you, my top-spec US motor in the Swift was no quicker than the replacement UK engine, when I made the swap. I think US engines are more
about longevity than excess horsepower.
